Some schools in Tin Shui Wai suspended today due to power outage

The Education Bureau (EDB), after liaison, has learnt that some schools in Tin Shui Wai are unable to operate as normal today (June 22) and need to temporarily suspend classes as some areas in the district are still being affected by the power outage.

The affected schools are as follows:

Chinese YMCA Secondary School
Queen Elizabeth School Old Students' Association Tong Kwok Wah Secondary School
HKFYG Lee Shau Kee College
Tin Shui Wai Methodist College
Cumberland Presbyterian Church Yao Dao Primary School
Chinese YMCA Primary School
Xianggang Putonghua Yanxishe Primary School of Science and Creativity
Chiu Yang Por Yen Primary School
Christian Alliance S Y Yeh Memorial Primary School
Tai Po Baptist KG Tin Chak Estate Branch
First Assembly of God Church Tin Chak Nursery

     Relevant schools will arrange staff to look after students who might arrive.

     Schools in the district are also advised to exercise flexibility in dealing with individual students' lateness or absence due to the power outage incident.

     The EDB will closely monitor the situation and liaise with other government departments to provide appropriate assistance to schools.
