Further to the introduction of the network data call function for the AHU's 1868 hotline, the ImmD is now providing an Online Assistance Request Form to help Hong Kong residents in distress or in need of assistance outside Hong Kong to contact the AHU. Hong Kong residents in distress outside Hong Kong may choose to, via the ImmD homepage or ImmD mobile app, submit the Online Assistance Request Form by providing brief contact information and the assistance required. The AHU will contact them as soon as possible to render practicable assistance.

Hong Kong residents can download or update the latest version of the ImmD mobile app for free from the Apple App Store, Google Play, Huawei AppGallery or the homepage of the Immigration Department: www.immd.gov.hk/eng/mobile/index.html. Tap "Contact the Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Unit" under "Popular Services" on the main page, then tap "Submit Assistance Request Form" to access the form.
