***************************************************************

The Chief Executive in Council has approved the draft Urban Renewal Authority (URA) To Kwa Wan Road/Wing Kwong Street Development Scheme Plan (DSP).

"The approved DSP provides a statutory land use planning framework to guide the implementation of the URA To Kwa Wan Road/Wing Kwong Street Development Scheme," a spokesman for the Town Planning Board said today (June 10).

The development scheme area, covering about 6 600 square metres, is broadly bounded by To Kwa Wan Road to the northwest, Ma Tau Wai Road to the west, Wing Kwong Street to the south, Kai Ming Street and Hung Fook Street to the east, and Ngan Hon Street to the north. It involves buildings on private lots, government lanes, public roads and the surrounding public pavement.

The area is mainly zoned "Residential (Group A)" and it is intended primarily for a high-density residential development with commercial and government, institution and community facilities.

The approved DSP No. S/K9/URA3/2 is available for public inspection during office hours at (i) the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, (ii) the Planning Enquiry Counters, (iii) the Kowloon District Planning Office and (iv) the Kowloon City District Office.

Copies of the approved DSP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the DSP can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
