Red flag hoisted at Cheung Chau Tung Wan Beach

Here is an item of interest to swimmers.
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (June 8) that because of sightings of dead fish from unidentified sources at Cheung Chau Tung Wan Beach in Islands District, the red flag has been hoisted. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beach until further notice.
The Environmental Protection Department, Marine Department and Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department have been contacted for follow up action. Site clearance by LCSD staff is underway. The LCSD will closely monitor the situation and will take further action as necessary.
