Over 3 800 vacancies on offer at Opening Up a New Terrain Online Job Fair

     The Labour Department (LD) will hold the Opening Up a New Terrain Online Job Fair from June 7 to 6pm on June 8 on the department's Interactive Employment Service website (www.jobs.gov.hk/onlinejf), providing many job vacancies from various industries, including full-time, part-time, temporary vacancies and positions more suitable for fresh graduates. Job seekers can obtain information on job vacancies and submit online job applications during the event.

     A total of 60 organisations will participate in the two-day online job fair and offer over 3 800 vacancies. The vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions, including management trainee, intern, fitness and recreation executive or attendant, data analyst, residential care home nurse for the elderly, production worker, cook, security officer, technician, shop assistant and clerk.

     Around 80 per cent of the vacancies provided in this job fair are full-time jobs and most of them offer monthly salaries ranging from $10,000 to $20,000. Over 95 per cent require a Secondary Six education level or below. Around 75 per cent are open to job seekers without relevant working experience.

     Job seekers are required to pre-register as a user of the LD's Interactive Employment Service for submitting online job applications to the participating organisations directly during the job fair.
