Fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom

At about 7.30pm, a public light bus (PLB) driven by an 81-year-old man was travelling eastbound along Sheung Shing Street. When approaching the junction of Sheung Lok Street, it reportedly knocked down the 65-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the 65-year-old man was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 8.04pm.
The PLB driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
