Government refutes online rumours on Compulsory Universal Testing scheme
************************************************************************
A Government spokesman today (March 16) clarifies that information circulating online on the implementation date and details of the Compulsory Universal Testing (CUT) scheme is not official announcement. Members of the public should not believe in it.

The spokesman said the CUT scheme would be a large scale operation which called for precise execution, and the Government had to plan the details carefully to ensure that sufficient ancillary measures and manpower would be in place. The scheme is still being refined at the moment, and once confirmed, will be announced and widely publicised so that the public will be fully informed of the arrangements.

"We regret and condemn those who spread inaccurate information online to mislead the public," the spokesman added.
