Police are investigating a murder case in Mong Kok this morning (March 7) in which a 32-year-old woman died.

     At about 6.10am today, Police received a report from a 58-year-old woman that her daughter was suspected to be assaulted by her 70-year-old ex-husband inside a unit on Hoi Ting Rd.

     Police officers sped to the scene and located the 32-year-old woman lying unconsciously on a bed. Sustaining neck injuries, she was certified dead at scene.

     Initial investigation revealed that the 70-year-old man strangled the deceased with hands. Police arrested the man for murder. He is being detained for enquiries.

     Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death.

     Investigation by the District Crime Squad of Mong Kok District is underway.
