The Legal Aid Department (LAD) announced today (February 27) that a clerical officer at its Kowloon Branch Office (KBO) had preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19.
 
     The staff last performed duties on February 24. The staff had no recent travel history, body temperatures was normal on the last day of work and had been wearing a mask while performing duties.  
 
     The LAD will temporarily close the Shroff Office of KBO on 3/F of Mongkok Government Offices tomorrow (February 28) until further notice.

     For making payment, members of the public can attend the Shroff Office of LAD headquarters on 27/F of Queensway Government Offices. Meanwhile, the Application and Processing Unit of KBO on 3/F of the Mongkok Government Offices will operate as usual.    
 
     The LAD is highly concerned about the COVID-19 epidemic. Staff are reminded to pay attention to personal hygiene and to stay vigilant. They should seek medical advice immediately if feeling unwell.
