The Environment Bureau (ENB) today (February 26) said that a secretary of ENB had undergone a rapid test with a result being positive for COVID-19.

     The secretary is responsible for secretarial duties for the Under Secretary for the Environment, Mr Tse Chin-wan. She does not need to have contact with the public and had no recent travel history. She wore masks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work. She last performed duties on February 25.

     Mr Tse has taken COVID-19 rapid tests every day and the results are all negative. For prudence's sake, Mr Tse will return his deep throat saliva sample for testing.

     The ENB will conduct thorough cleaning and sterilisation at the workplace concerned, and has arranged for relevant staff members to undergo COVID-19 testing.
