Fatal traffic accident in Lantau North

At about 7.33pm, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 64-year-old man was travelling along North Lantau Highway towards Tung Chung. When approaching near Lantau Link Toll Plaza, the LGV reportedly hit a special purpose vehicle driven by a 48-year-old man and side-turned.
Sustaining serious legs injuries, the 64-year-old man was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 9.01pm last night.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South is underway.
