Appointment to West Kowloon Cultural District Authority Board

     The Government announced today (February 23) that the Chief Executive has appointed Mr Kenneth Fok Kai-kong as a non-official member of the Board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) for a two-year term from February 25, 2022, to February 24, 2024.
      
     A Government spokesman said that Mr Fok actively participates in community services and the promotion of arts and cultural development. As the Legislative Council Member representing the sports, performing arts, culture and publication functional constituency, he would offer valuable advice in assisting the Board to discharge its statutory duties and oversee the development and operation of the West Kowloon Cultural District.
      
     The WKCDA Ordinance (Cap. 601) provides that the Board is the governing and executive body of the WKCDA. It is responsible for the planning, development, operation and maintenance of the arts and cultural facilities and related facilities in the West Kowloon Cultural District.
