Tuen Mun Hospital makes public appeal to help locate missing patient

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     The spokesman for Tuen Mun Hospital made the following appeal today (February 20)regarding a patient leaving the Accident and Emergency Department (A&E) without prior notification:

     A 70-year-old male patient who tested positive to COVID-19 by rapid antigen test attended Tuen Mun Hospital A&E. At around 5pm, the patient was found leaving the hospital without prior notification.

     Upon departure of the patient, security guards were deployed to search for the patient within the hospital compound and the vicinity. The hospital also reported to the police for assistance. The hospital is very concerned about the incident and will fully co-operate with police to locate the patient.

     The patient is about 1.65 meters tall, medium-built. He was wearing a black down jacket and black pants when leaving the A&E.

     The hospital appeals to the public to contact Tuen Mun Police Station at 3661 5800 or call 999 if they know the whereabouts of the patient.
