SWD sets up holding centre to take care of elderly pending admission to hospitals

In view of the recent severe epidemic situation, a large number of members of the public have called on public hospitals for medical consultations. Many of them are elderly persons. To ensure that elderly patients who have received preliminary medical treatment but pending admission to hospitals receive proper care, the holding centre set up by SWD at Choi Wing Road Sports Centre in Kwun Tong has come into immediate operation to receive elderly patients referred by the Hospital Authority and provide them with temporary care services.
The centre provides basic meals and nursing support without charges. SWD expresses heartfelt gratitude to Po Leung Kuk for dispatching a care team to provide care services at the above-mentioned centre at short notice.
