The Lo Wu Correctional Institution today (February 18) learned that a correctional officer has tested preliminarily positive for COVID-19.

     The staff member responsible for visit registration service underwent COVID-19 testing yesterday. She was notified that she had tested preliminarily positive today. She last performed duties on February 15.

     The Correctional Services Department has arranged for relevant staff in the institution to undergo COVID-19 testing and will conduct a thorough cleaning and disinfection at the relevant locations. As such, official visit service of Lo Wu Correctional Institution will be suspended from tomorrow (February 19) to February 21.
