Public hospitals daily update on COVID-19 cases and Queen Mary Hospital patient passed away

As at 9am today (February 10), 359 patients who had tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus were discharged from hospital in the last 24 hours. So far, a total of 13 795 patients have been discharged.
A total of 1 895 patients who had tested positive are currently hospitalised in the North Lantau Hospital Hong Kong Infection Control Centre, the Hospital Authority (HA) Infectious Disease Centre, the Community Treatment Facility at AsiaWorld-Expo and 15 public hospitals, including one critical patient and six serious patients. The remainder are in stable condition.
In addition, a 94-year-old female patient (case number: 18712) with chronic diseases was admitted to Queen Mary Hospital on February 8 due to shortness of breath and heart failure. She tested positive during an admission screening. The patient was under isolation treatment in stable condition. Her condition became serious on February 9 and continued to deteriorate. The patient eventually succumbed at 1.33pm today. Including this patient, 208 COVID-19 confirmed patients have passed away in public hospitals so far.
The HA will maintain close contact with the Centre for Health Protection to monitor the latest developments and to inform the public and healthcare workers on the latest information in a timely manner.
