Arrested female detained in Sham Shui Po Police Station preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19

1) The arrested female was detained at Sham Shui Po Police Station today. All facilities in the Police station concerned have been sterilised;
2) All officers working in Sham Shui Po Police Station are required to wear masks. While awaiting further assessment by the Department of Health (DH), the officers who had contact with the arrested female will not conduct duties that require interaction with members of the public;
3) Police will deploy resources flexibly to ensure provision of emergency services of the district concerned remains unaffected; and
4) Officers have been reminded to reduce social contact to minimise risks of infection, and to pay attention to physical health. If feeling unwell, they should consult a doctor and report the case immediately.
The Police will continue to maintain close communication with the DH and follow relevant quarantine arrangements.
