Motor driver of Environmental Protection Department tests positive for COVID-19
*******************************************************************************
The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) today (February 4) said that a motor driver has tested positive for COVID-19. He is staying at a hospital for treatment.

The staff member concerned is stationed at Southorn Centre in Wan Chai and is responsible for driving duties. He does not need to have contact with the public and had no recent travel history. He wore masks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work. He last performed duties on January 28. The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) is following up on the case.

The EPD has conducted thorough cleaning and sterilisation on the floor concerned in accordance with the CHP's advice, and is arranging for all staff members working on the same floor to undergo COVID-19 testing.

The EPD has been strictly implementing disease prevention measures during the epidemic and will continue to maintain close liaison with the CHP. Staff members are reminded to pay attention to personal hygiene and to stay vigilant. They should seek medical advice immediately if feeling unwell.
