"Territory-wide Physical Fitness Survey for the Community" fun days to be held in January (with photo)

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will hold two "Territory-wide Physical Fitness Survey for the Community" fun days in January 2022 to enable participants to have a general understanding of his or her own fitness condition. Members of the public are welcome to join the activities for free.
      
     The survey aims to set up a database on the physical fitness of Hong Kong people, identify the relationship between physical exercise patterns and the physical fitness of Hong Kong people as well as assist the Government in identifying priority areas for improvement to enhance the overall physical fitness of the community.
      
     The survey will cover 8 500 Hong Kong people aged between 7 and 79. The sample sizes required for various age groups in the survey are calculated based on the population proportion in the Hong Kong. Data collection of the survey is expected to be complete early next year. The survey findings will be announced in the fourth quarter of 2022.

     Members of the public who would like to take part in the survey could register on the designated webpage (pfs2021.com.hk) under the "Registration Login for Invited Participants" section by using the above-mentioned specified login ID and password and select a timeslot for the test. The survey will last around an hour. Fifteen participants could be accommodated per hour at the same time. A limited walk-in registration is also available at the venues on a first-come, first-served basis.
      
     Participants who completed the survey will receive a souvenir pack and a physical fitness test report. For details of the survey, please visit the thematic webpage pfs2021.com.hk.
      
     All participants are reminded to wear masks, have their body temperature checked and scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" QR code. Persons aged below 12 or aged 65 or above and those with disabilities that render use of the app difficult will be exempted from the requirement to use the app. They will be required instead to complete a form to register their name, the first four digits or letters of their identification document, their contact number and the date and time of their visit. Exempted persons will also be required to present relevant identification documents for verification at the request of the staff on-site during registration. The staff will also verify the contact numbers by making phone calls.
