Two more COVID-19 Vaccination Stations to be set up at public hospitals
***********************************************************************
The Government announced today (December 24) that starting from December 30 (Thursday), COVID-19 Vaccination Stations will be set up in Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital in Tai Po and Yan Chai Hospital in Tsuen Wan to provide a walk-in service for BioNTech vaccination. Prior booking is not required.

By that time, the number of COVID-19 Vaccination Stations at public hospitals will increase to 13. The other vaccination stations at public hospitals are located in Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, Tseung Kwan O Hospital, Caritas Medical Centre, Prince of Wales Hospital, Queen Mary Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Tuen Mun Hospital, Pok Oi Hospital, North District Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital and Ruttonjee Hospital.

A Government spokesman said that Hospital COVID-19 Vaccination Stations (HCVSs) have commenced operations in phases since late September and during the recent month an average of over 1 100 persons received vaccination each day at these vaccination stations that enable members of the public, especially elderly persons who have follow-up consultation at hospitals, to have a convenient and efficient channel to receive COVID-19 vaccination. These vaccination stations are in a smaller scale with less manpower requirements as compared to Community Vaccination Centres (CVCs), which enable them to have more flexibility in operation."

Apart from the vaccination station at Princess Margaret Hospital, the vaccination stations at public hospitals operate from 10am to 7pm on weekdays except public holidays. Last vaccination is at 6.30pm. The vaccination station at Princess Margaret Hospital operates from 9am to 6pm on weekdays except public holidays, with last vaccination at 5.30pm. All HCVSs remain open during the lunch break.

Arrangements will be made for people who receive their first dose to have their second dose injection at the same vaccination station or at a CVC. Those who opt for the Sinovac vaccine will be referred to a nearby CVC. They can also choose a private doctor or clinic under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme to receive their vaccination.

All HCVSs provide the BioNTech vaccine. Detailed addresses and opening hours of the HCVSs are listed in the Appendix.
