Choi Wing Road Sports Centre to open on December 29 (with photos)

     Choi Wing Road Sports Centre, managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), will open for public use on December 29 (Wednesday). It is the ninth indoor sports centre under the LCSD in Kwun Tong District, and provides a wide range of leisure and sports facilities.

     The new sports centre is located at Choi Fook Estate Phase 3, 58 Choi Wing Road, and has a total area of about 9 380 square metres. Facilities include a multi-purpose arena (which can serve as two basketball courts or two volleyball courts or eight badminton courts); a table tennis room; a fitness room (expected to commence services in March 2022); an indoor jogging track; a children's play room; and two activity rooms.

     Those who plan to visit the Choi Wing Road Sports Centre can walk from Exit B of Kowloon Bay MTR Station in about 15 minutes, or take various bus and minibus routes there. It will be open from 7am to 11pm daily, except on the first and third Mondays of each month, when it will be closed from 9am to 3pm for regular maintenance.

     Members of the public can reserve the fee-charging facilities of Choi Wing Road Sports Centre from December 23 (Thursday) via the Internet Booking Service of Leisure Link. For enquiries, please call the venue staff at 2721 5918, or visit the LCSD website (www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/index.html).
