Fatal traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok

At around 4.18am, a taxi driven by a 59-year-old man was travelling along Kwun Tong Road towards Wong Tai Sin. When approaching Kowloon Bay MTR station, it reportedly knocked down the 63-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injury, the woman was rushed to United Christian Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.52am.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is underway.
