Appointments of members to Hong Kong Trade Development Council announced

The appointments of Dr Lin and Mr Chan will take effect from January 1 and February 1, 2022, respectively, while the re-appoinment of Mr Li will become effective on January 1, 2022.
Meanwhile, incumbent members Mr Jason Chiu and Mr John Slosar will retire from the Council upon completion of their terms on December 31, 2021, and January 31, 2022, respectively. A spokesman for the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau expressed gratitude to the two retiring members for their devoted service and contributions towards various aspects of the Council's work.
Appointments to the Council are made by the Financial Secretary in exercise of the powers delegated to him by the Chief Executive and pursuant to section 11(1)(d) of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council Ordinance (Chapter 1114).
