Appointment of self-recommended young members to Small and Medium Enterprises Committee

     The Government announced today (December 10) the appointment of two young members to the Small and Medium Enterprises Committee (SMEC) through the Member Self-recommendation Scheme for Youth from today until December 31, 2022, i.e. the end date of the current term of existing members.

     The two young members are Mr Danny Ho Sin-fai and Ms Elaine Shiu Yin-ning. Mr Danny Ho is a former member of the Hong Kong Sport Climbing Team, and currently the founder and Chief Executive Officer of an indoor bouldering gym. Ms Elaine Shiu is an entrepreneur, managing five companies currently.

     The SMEC advises the Chief Executive on issues affecting the development of small and medium enterprises in Hong Kong, and suggests measures to support and facilitate their development and growth.
