******************************************************************************************
The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels (HKETO, Brussels) had an online meeting with students of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece on October 14 (Thessaloniki time). It is part of the Office's efforts to reach out to students and graduates in Europe to promote various talent admission schemes in Hong Kong. About 300 students attended the meeting.

The event was part of the Career Day of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece's largest university. Speaking via video link, the Acting Deputy Representative of HKETO, Brussels, Mr Henry Tsoi, gave a presentation to local students about the excellent study and career opportunities Hong Kong offers to international students. He encouraged students to look into the study possibilities and the different schemes offered by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and Hong Kong's tertiary institutions, which rank among the top in the world.

Mr Tsoi also informed students of Hong Kong's latest developments and policies which promote talent admission, including the doubling of the annual quota of the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme and the expansion of the Talent List as announced in the Chief Executive's Policy Address. He said the expansion of the Talent List would make it easier for more highly-qualified professionals in the financial, environmental, medical and healthcare, technology sectors, etc., to come to work in Hong Kong. He also added that the HKSAR Government had put forward proposals to the Central Government on arrangements to facilitate non-Chinese nationals residing in Hong Kong to travel to the Mainland cities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for business, research, exchanges and visits, etc.
