Fatal traffic accident in Chai Wan

At 6.17pm, a motorcycle driven by the 31-year-old man was travelling along Shek O Road southbound. When approaching Shek O Beach, it reportedly lost control and hit a lamp post after ramming into a kerb.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the motorcyclist was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 7.40pm on the same day.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island is underway.
