New Deputy Commandant of HKAPF appointed (with photo)

     The Government announced the appointment of Mr Johnny Leung Sai-kwong as the Deputy Commandant of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force (HKAPF) with effect from today (October 11).

     The appointment was made by the Chief Executive to fill a vacancy following the retirement of the then Deputy Commandant, Mr Cheng Man-sum on October 11, 2021.

     Mr Leung, aged 54, the Chief Executive Officer for South East Asia of a multinational engineering corporation and a holder of a Doctorate Degree of Philosophy in Business and Management. He joined the HKAPF as a Constable (Auxiliary) in August 1989 and was promoted to Superintendent (Auxiliary) in February 2014, Senior Superintendent (Auxiliary) in November 2016 and Chief Superintendent (Auxiliary) in October 2017.  

     Mr Leung has a wide range of operational and management experience. He was awarded the Long Service Medal for Auxiliary Police in 2004 and the First Clasp in 2014. In 2021, he was awarded with a TIDERIDER Medal with purple stripe.
