The results and pass mark of the inaugural Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Legal Professional Examination (GBA Examination), which was held on July 31 this year, have been released today (September 30). The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) announced on the same day that the pass mark of the GBA Examination is 120 and the examination results could be viewed on the website of the MoJ. For more details, please visit:

Legal practitioners who have taken the GBA Examination could check their examination results, download and print out the results notices by themselves through the website of the MoJ starting at noon today. If candidates have doubt about their examination results, they could submit written applications to the Department of Justice of Guangdong Province for rechecking of results before October 10.

The Secretary for Justice, Ms Teresa Cheng, SC, said, "More lawyers familiar with the laws of the Mainland and Hong Kong will be available for the entire GBA given the smooth running of the GBA Examination, thereby further enhancing implementation of the supporting measures introduced for the Hong Kong legal profession by the Central Government. With the announcement of the examination results, the Department of Justice will actively co-operate with the MoJ and the Department of Justice of Guangdong Province in implementing the relevant practice management measures.

"My heartfelt thanks to the MoJ for implementing the examination and setting up an extra examination venue in Hong Kong for our practitioners. I would also like to extend my warmest congratulations to those practitioners who have passed the examination. All their hard work truly paid off. I wish they would join hands with their Mainland counterparts to provide the GBA enterprises with both Hong Kong and Mainland legal services and safeguards, leading to a win-win situation which is the best embodiment of the mutually beneficial relationship." Ms Cheng said.
