Murder in Ma On Shan

At about 12.50pm yesterday, Police received a report that a man was found collapsed in a corridor of Heng Shan House, Heng On Estate.
Police officers sped to the scene and found the 84-year-old man lying unconscious on the floor. Sustaining multiple stab wounds, he was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital and was certified dead at 2.14pm.
Initial investigations revealed that the deceased was suspectedly attacked by someone with a knife. A knife in suspected connection with the case was seized at scene.
Police later arrested a 35-year-old man for murder. He is being detained for further enquiries.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.
Investigation by the District Crime Squad of Sha Tin is underway.
