Green Minibus Real-time Arrival Information System extended to cover 237 routes
*******************************************************************************
The Transport Department (TD) announced that with effect from today (September 24), the number of Green Minibus (GMB) routes covered under the GMB Real-time Arrival Information System has been further extended from 165 to 237 to facilitate passengers' trip planning.

A spokesman for the TD said, "The GMB Real-time Arrival Information System has been operating smoothly since its official launch in March this year. With the support of the GMB trade, the TD has uploaded the real-time arrival information of a total of 165 GMB routes in two phases in March and June. Further to the current extension to 237 GMB routes, the TD will continue to work closely with the trade to upload the real-time arrival information of the remaining some 300 GMB routes in phases, with a view to achieving full implementation next year."

Passengers can check the estimated arrival times of the next three GMBs that will arrive at GMB stops (including the termini and specified en-route stops) of the routes concerned through the TD's mobile application "HKeMobility". The relevant data will also be released in a machine-readable format via the Public Sector Information Portal (data.gov.hk) for public use free of charge.

Relevant publicity materials have been posted at the termini and inside the GMB compartments of the GMB routes concerned to inform passengers of the arrangements.
