Distribution of same-day tickets at Community Vaccination Centres open to all eligible persons
******************************************************************************************
Starting from Wednesday (September 22), 21 Community Vaccination Centres (CVCs) under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme will distribute same-day tickets to all eligible persons who want to receive a COVID-19 vaccination so that they can get vaccinated in a CVC at a designated time slot on the day of distribution.

"The same-day ticket arrangement has been operating smoothly since its launch on July 29. After evaluating the actual situation, we have decided to extend the arrangement to cover all eligible persons for receiving vaccinations to further enable members of the public to get vaccinated," said a Government spokesman.

"Under the new arrangement, members of the public can get vaccinated without prior bookings as long as there are quotas of vaccinations available at the 21 CVCs."

The same-day tickets will be distributed daily from 7.45am on a first-come, first-served basis in September and October. The CVCs will be closed between 1.30pm and 2.30pm daily for cleaning and disinfection, and the last vaccination session will be held from 7pm to 7.30pm.

Starting from November, the same-day tickets will be available for distribution 15 minutes before the CVCs open, and the last vaccination session will be held an hour before they close.

Persons can collect a same-day ticket at a CVC by presenting their Hong Kong identity cards (HKID cards). They can also authorise their family members to collect a ticket on their behalf, provided that the authorised person can present a copy of the authoriser's HKID card. When receiving the first dose of vaccination, they will be informed by CVC staff of the date and time for the second dose.

Members of the public can make reservations on the designated website of the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme (www.covidvaccine.gov.hk) for receiving vaccinations at the CVCs or designated general outpatient clinics of the Hospital Authority. They can also make an appointment for a vaccination directly with the private doctor or clinic under the Programme.
