CE congratulates Leung Yuk-wing, Vivian Lau and Wong Kwan-hang on winning Tokyo Paralympic Games silver medal for Hong Kong

     Hong Kong athletes at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games brought good news to the territory today (September 4). Leung Yuk-wing, Vivian Lau and Wong Kwan-hang won a silver medal in the Boccia Mixed BC4 Pairs event for Hong Kong. This is the second time for Leung Yuk-wing to score a medal at this Games. The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, extended her congratulations to the three athletes.

     "With rich experience, superb skills and team spirit, the athletes put on excellent performances in the competitions and claim a medal. Leung Yuk-wing has won six medals for Hong Kong to date in various Paralympics Games with distinguished achievements, and it is the first medal captured by Vivian Lau and Wong Kwan-hang at the Games. Hong Kong people and I are overjoyed and are proud of the achievements of the three athletes," Mrs Lam said.

     Leung Yuk-wing was a gold medalist in the Boccia Mixed BC4 Pairs event at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games. The three athletes won a gold medal in the Mixed BC4 Pairs event at the BISFed 2019 Seoul Boccia Asia-Oceania Regional Championships.
