Fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long

At 8.19pm, a light goods vehicle driven by the 43-year-old man was travelling along Yuen Long Highway towards Sheung Shui. When approaching outside Shap Pat Heung Roundabout, it reportedly crashed with a medium goods vehicle that was stopped on the highway suspectedly due to breakdown.
Sustaining multiple injuries, the man was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 10.39pm.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
