Hongkong Post to issue "Feel 100%" special stamps (with photos)

"Feel 100%" is an original comic created by Hong Kong comic artist Lau Wan-kit. The story, set in Hong Kong, depicts an intricate metropolitan love story. It received international acclaim by winning the Gold Award at the Second International Manga Award organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in 2008. It has been adapted into movies and television dramas that were popular among youngsters of the time.
This set of six stamps features the protagonists of the comic in its design. The characters, painted in bold colours, stand out against the grey frames and the black and white background of the comic panels. The $10 and $20 stamp sheetlets adopt the cover art of the comic in the stamp design, while the backgrounds illustrate the classic scene in which the male protagonists Lok and Jerry first meet the female protagonist Cherie at the beginning of the story. The $20 stamp sheetlet mimics the printed page of a comic with sand varnish on the left, while a varnishing effect is added to set off the protagonists.
Starting from September 16, this set of special stamps and associated philatelic products, including a first day cover (for sale separately from today), mint stamps, stamp sheetlets, mini-stamp sheets and a presentation pack, will be put on sale at all post offices, while the postage prepaid picture cards and serviced first day covers will be available at philatelic offices only. The framed souvenir will only be put on sale at the General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Tsuen Wan Post Office and Sha Tin Central Post Office.
