CE congratulates Leung Yuk-wing on winning bronze medal for Hong Kong at Tokyo Paralympic Games (with photo)

     ​The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, today (September 1) extended her warmest congratulations to Hong Kong athlete Leung Yuk-wing on winning a bronze medal in the Boccia Mixed Individual BC4 event at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
      
      "Leung Yuk-wing gave full play to his rich experience and persevered in the competitions, winning a bronze medal for Hong Kong with distinguished performance. He has won a total of five medals for Hong Kong at various Paralympic Games through the years, including four in individual events. His achievements make Hong Kong people proud. I wish he will continue his excellent performance in the pairs matches to be held later on to bring glory home," Mrs Lam said.
      
     Leung captured many awards in the Boccia BC4 event at international competitions, including gold medals in individual and pairs at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games, a gold medal in individual at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and a silver medal in individual at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games. He also claimed gold medals in individual and pairs at the world championship in 2014.
