Suspension of surface mail services to certain areas of Mainland China

Hongkong Post announced today (August 24) that, as advised by China Post, the Mail Processing Centre at Guangzhou has suspended the acceptance of surface mail transported by land. Therefore, surface mail services to the provinces of Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Guizhou, Sichuan, Yunnan and Hainan, as well as Guangxi and the municipality of Chongqing, that are processed at the Centre will be suspended with immediate effect until further notice. Members of the public are advised to use air mail services for sending mail to above areas.
