HKO website adds real-time weather photos at Tai Mo Shan (with videos)

Installed at Hong Kong's highest peak Tai Mo Shan, the new camera faces the southwest, overlooking the vicinity of Tsing Yi, Ma Wan and Lantau Island. With a wide field of view, the forms of different types of clouds can be clearly observed through the camera lens. Under suitable meteorological conditions, the camera can even capture a sea of clouds and other interesting cloud types, including lenticular clouds, which are also commonly known as "flying saucer clouds".
Including Tai Mo Shan, the HKO's webpage "Regional Weather in Hong Kong - Latest Weather Photo" (www.hko.gov.hk/en/wxinfo/ts/index_webcam.htm) will show real-time weather photos from 30 observation locations. Some weather phenomena captured by the camera at Tai Mo Shan have also been added to the list of "Notable Weather Events" on the webpage. The real-time weather photos at Tai Mo Shan will soon be available at the mobile application "MyObservatory".
