Ballots drawn for Sale of Green Form Subsidised Home Ownership Scheme Flats 2020/21 (with photo/video)
******************************************************************************************
The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Housing Authority:

Ballots were drawn today (August 10) for the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA)'s Sale of Green Form Subsidised Home Ownership Scheme (GSH) Flats 2020/21 (GSH 2020/21). The Chairman of the HA Subsidised Housing Committee, Ms Cleresa Wong, officiated at the ballot drawing. In line with the arrangement for recent sale exercises, the HA arranged a live broadcast of the entire process through its Facebook page for public viewing.

A new GSH development, Kai Chuen Court in Diamond Hill, providing 2,112 flats with saleable areas of about 17.1 square metres to about 44.7 sq m (about 184 square feet to about 481 sq ft), is put up for sale under GSH 2020/21. Around 530 unsold/rescinded flats from Dip Tsui Court in Chai Wan and Ching Fu Court in Tsing Yi under GSH 2019 and around 800 recovered Tenants Purchase Scheme (TPS) flats will also be put up for resale/sale in this sale exercise.

"During the application period, the HA received a total of around 72 000 applications for GSH 2020/21, comprising around 30 000 carry-over Green Form applications from the Sale of Home Ownership Scheme Flats 2020 (HOS 2020) and around 42 000 new applications, out of which around 19 000 were received online. Amongst them, around 59 000 came from family applicants (in which around 31 000 applied under the Priority Scheme for Families with Elderly Members) and around 13 000 were from one-person applicants," a spokesman for the HA said.

The ballot conducted today is to determine the applicants' priority sequence based on the last two digits of their application numbers. For applicants holding the same drawn digits within the different application categories, their order of priority will be randomly generated by computer.

The ballot results have been uploaded to the dedicated webpage on the HA/Housing Department website (www.housingauthority.gov.hk/gsh/2020-21). Applicants who have submitted online applications will receive an email notification of the ballot results after the ballot drawing ceremony.

The randomly generated order of all applications will be uploaded to the webpage tomorrow (August 11). It will also be displayed from tomorrow at the GSH Sales Office in Kwun Tong, the HA Customer Service Centre in Lok Fu, the estate offices and District Tenancy Management Offices of the HA, the estate offices of the Hong Kong Housing Society and the Home Affairs Enquiry Centres of the Home Affairs Department. Applicants may also call the HA sales hotline 2712 8000 for enquiries.

The HA will invite applicants holding a valid Green Form Certificate to submit the supporting documents of their income and assets within a specified period for detailed vetting according to this randomly generated order to ascertain whether individual applicants meet the eligibility criteria for GSH 2020/21 and the final priority for flat selection of eligible applicants.

"The HA estimates that notifications will be sent in batches to invite eligible applicants according to their priority under the application category to select flats at the GSH Sales Office starting from October 2021. When it comes to an eligible applicant's turn for flat selection, he/she may select a GSH or a recovered TPS flat subject to availability of flats," the spokesman said.

If applicants under the carry-over arrangement from HOS 2020 to GSH 2020/21 have successfully purchased a flat under HOS 2020, their applications for GSH 2020/21 will be cancelled immediately, and vice versa.

Sales brochures for new and unsold/rescinded GSH flats as well as sales pamphlets for recovered TPS flats, covering full details of the developments and estates, and price lists will be made available for collection by the public at the GSH Sales Office and viewing on the HA/HD's designated website seven days before commencement of the flat selection period.

Doll houses and virtual videos of typical flats and a building model of Kai Chuen Court, exhibition panels and other information on the GSH developments of unsold/rescinded GSH flats, will be exhibited at the GSH Sales Office seven days before commencement up to the end of the flat selection period. During the same period, photos and video clips of the interiors of all recovered TPS flats for sale under this sale exercise will also be provided at the GSH Sales Office and the HA/HD's designated website for viewing by the public.
