Taxi trade associations support COVID-19 Vaccination Programme (with photos)
****************************************************************************
The Transport Department (TD) and taxi trade associations arranged taxi drivers to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at the Community Vaccination Centre at Kwun Chung Sports Centre through group booking this afternoon (August 7).

The TD said that getting vaccinated is of utmost importance to taxi drivers as they will have contact with the public every day. This is not only to protect themselves, but also to build an immune barrier for their families and the community.

The TD thanks the taxi trade associations for their support of the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme and appeals to all employees of the public transport sector to get vaccinated as soon as possible, and various public transport operators to join the Government in promoting the "Early Vaccination for All" campaign and actively encourage and arrange for their staff members to get vaccinated for protection of the health of themselves and the public.

For details of the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme, please visit the designated website (www.covidvaccine.gov.hk).
