Two more Land Sharing Pilot Scheme applications received
One application concerns a site at Ho Chau Road, Yuen Long (near Tung Shing Lei), covering about 5.9 hectares of private lots and adjoining government land, currently zoned "Residential (Group D)". The application involves about 2 616 public housing/Starter Homes units (the exact choice of subsidised housing type is to be determined by the Government) with supporting facilities and 1 474 private housing flats, with a total gross floor area of about 175 287 square metres. The application is jointly made by Topwood Limited, Success King Limited and Richduty Development Limited. Their parent company is Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited.
The other application concerns a site at She Shan Road and Lam Kam Road, Tai Po (near Lam Tsuen), covering about 19.3 hectares of private lots and adjoining government land, currently zoned "Agriculture" and "Government, Institution or Community". The application involves about 8 484 public housing/Starter Homes units (the exact choice of subsidised housing type is to be determined by the Government) with supporting facilities and 3 636 private housing flats, with a total gross floor area of about 645 301 sq m. The application is jointly made by Ocean Target Enterprises Limited (whose parent company is Henderson Land Development Company Limited), Gettenwood Company Limited and Fullmark Development Limited (the parent company of these two companies is Wheelock Properties Limited).
The DEVB announced on July 22 the receipt of the first application under the LSPS, concerning a site at Lo Fai Road and Ting Kok Road, Tai Po.
The Land Sharing Office under the DEVB acts as a one-stop shop in co-ordinating with the departments concerned to facilitate and expedite the processing and vetting of applications in accordance with the established guidelines. The applications, together with comments of relevant government bureaux and departments, will be considered by the Panel of Advisors tentatively within three months. Meanwhile, the applicants may have to revise their proposals or provide further information to address the requirements from departments.
