ExCo Non-official Members congratulate Hong Kong table tennis athletes on winning bronze medal in team event at Tokyo Olympics

The Non-official Members of the Executive Council (ExCo Non-official Members) today (August 5) extended their warmest congratulations to Hong Kong table tennis athletes, Lee Ho-ching, Doo Hoi-kem, Soo Wai-yam and Zhu Chengzhu, for winning a bronze medal in the Table Tennis Women's Team competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. They also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their coaches and the table tennis team.
The Convenor of the ExCo Non-official Members, Mr Bernard Chan, said, "With their perseverance, the members of the Hong Kong team displayed their tenacity and delivered an outstanding performance as well as great team spirit during the match despite the fact that they have gone through ups and downs in the competitions of the Games. By their hard work and effort, Hong Kong won a medal in a table tennis competition of the Olympic Games again following the one won in the Athens Olympics in 2004. We are very delighted about their achievement."
The ExCo Non-official Members hope that the Hong Kong, China Delegation will continue to perform at their best to strive for good results in the remaining events.
