The Land Registry today (July 6) released its statistics for the first half of 2021. 

Land registration
-------------------

* The number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration for the first half of 2021 was 50,336 (+24.1 per cent compared with the second half of 2020 and +53.7 per cent compared with the first half of 2020).

* The total consideration for these agreements for the first half of 2021 was $474.44 billion (+32.0 per cent compared with the second half of 2020 and +76.4 per cent compared with the first half of 2020).

* The number of assignments of building units for the first half of 2021 was 53,498 (-0.9 per cent compared with the second half of 2020 but +52.7 per cent compared with the first half of 2020).

* The total consideration for these assignments for the first half of 2021 was $411.56 billion (+0.8 per cent compared with the second half of 2020 and +64.7 per cent compared with the first half of 2020).

Land search
-------------

* The number of searches of land registers made by the public for the first half of 2021 was 2,874,203 (+8.9 per cent compared with the second half of 2020 and +21.1 per cent compared with the first half of 2020).
