Hong Kong Police's National Security Department arrested five persons for suspected contravention of National Security Law

     The National Security Department of the Hong Kong Police this morning (June 17) arrested five directors of a company for suspected contravention of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (National Security Law).

     The five directors, four men and a woman aged between 47 and 63, were arrested for collusion with a foreign country or with external elements to endanger national security, contravening Article 29 of the National Security Law. Searches were also conducted on their respective residences.

     The arrested persons are being detained for investigation.
