Fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom

At 12.49pm, a middle goods vehicle (MGV) driven by a 54-year-old man was travelling along Man Yue Street westbound. When approaching near Ma Tau Wai Road, it reportedly knocked down the 88-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injury, the woman was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 5.15pm.
The 54-year-old MGV driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
