Fatal traffic accident in Sheung Shui

At 0.50am, a private car driven by a 39-year-old man reportedly knocked down the 27-year-old man when it was reversing in a car park in Hung Kiu San Tsuen, Man Kam To Road. After the impact, the private car left the scene.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the 27-year-old man was rushed to Prince Wales Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 2.30am.
The private car driver returned to the scene subsequently, and was arrested for drink driving and dangerous driving causing death. He is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigation will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North.
