Labour Department to resume provision of some counter services on 10th floor of Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices
******************************************************************************************
The Labour Department (LD) today (March 8) announced that the Labour Relations Division (Kowloon West Branch Office), the Employees' Compensation Division, the Occupational Medicine Unit (Kowloon), and the Operations Division (Kowloon Region) of the Occupational Safety Service on the 10th floor of Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices will resume counter services from tomorrow (March 9).

On the advice of the Centre for Health Protection (CHP), the service counter of the Minor Employment Claims Adjudication Board remains suspended and will resume services on March 18.

In view of two staff members working on the 10th floor of Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices being confirmed as testing positive for COVID-19 earlier, the LD suspended all counter services on that floor and conducted thorough cleaning and sterilisation at the workplaces of the staff members concerned, including the common areas, in accordance with the guidelines of the CHP.

The LD will continue to strictly implement various disease prevention measures, and remind all staff to stay vigilant in regard to personal hygiene at all times. It will also maintain close liaison with the CHP in its anti-epidemic work.
