The Highways Department (HyD) today (February 26) invited tenders for the "Provision of Universal Accessibility Facilities at Footbridges, Elevated Walkways and Subways - Package 4 Contract 2" (Contract No. HY/2020/09).
      
     The works are scheduled to commence in August and will take about 39 months to complete. The works mainly include:
      
     (i) design and construction of 16 lifts at 13 walkways in Central and Western, Wan Chai, Southern, Kowloon City, Kwun Tong and Wong Tai Sin Districts; and 

     (ii) associated civil works, geotechnical works, electrical and mechanical works, modification works for existing structures, roads and drainage works, lighting works and landscaping works. 

     The HyD has appointed WSP (Asia) Limited as the consultant to supervise the construction works. Interested contractors can obtain the tender forms and other particulars from WSP (Asia) Limited at 7/F, One Kowloon, 1 Wang Yuen Street, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
      
     The invitation to tender was gazetted today. Submission of tenders will close at noon on May 21 (Friday). Tender submissions should be placed in the Government Secretariat Tender Box located at the lobby of the Public Entrance on the Ground Floor, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong.
