Fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long on February 12 morning in which a 60-year-old man died.

     At about 8.10am, a bike driven by the 60-year-old man was travelling along Castle Peak Road - Hung Shui Kiu towards Yuen Long. Upon reaching LRT Hung Shui Kiu Station, the bike reportedly collided with another bike driven by a 20-year-old man.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the 60-year-old man was rushed to Tin Shui Wai Hospital in unconscious state. He was later transferred to Tuen Mun Hospital and certified dead at 10.42am today (February 18). The 20-year-old man, sustaining multiple injuries in conscious state, refused to receive medical treatment.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
