Yan Chai Hospital announces passing away of COVID-19 patient

The spokesperson for Yan Chai Hospital (YCH) today (February 12) announced that a patient confirmed with COVID-19 passed away today.
An 85-year-old male patient (case number: 10356) with chronic diseases attended the Accident & Emergency Department of YCH on January 28 due to pneumonia and fever. Having tested positive for COVID-19, the patient was admitted to the isolation ward for treatment. His condition continued to deteriorate and he was later transferred to the Intensive Care Unit on February 10. The patient developed multi-organ failure and eventually succumbed at 6.08am today.
The hospital is saddened about the passing away of the patient and expressed deep condolences to his family. The hospital would provide support as necessary.
Including the above patient, 186 COVID-19 patients have passed away in public hospitals so far.
