Fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun

At 07.28am, a private car driven by a 24-year-old man reportedly knocked down the 89-year-old woman when it reversed in Leung Tin Tsuen. The private car driver left the scene after the accident.
Sustaining serious head and limbs injuries, the woman was certified dead at scene.
The 24-year-old male driver was arrested afterwards in Tuen Mun District for dangerous driving causing death, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident. He is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
